Before you can define screen lots that you have purchased, or that you plan to dispense yourself, you must set up a screen experiment that describes the conditions used to create the screen lot.
You can export a screen as an XML file so that you can share it with others.
Note: When you export to an XML format, each ingredient's stocks are also exported. This eliminates the need to add ingredients whenever you import the file into a version of Rock Maker that does not include all of the ingredients used in the screen. Rock Maker's XML template for ingredients and screens is an open format that is available to anyone who wishes to use it for development purposes.
Rock Maker provides the facility to export a screen or experiment as an XML file in Crystal Track format.
When you export to Crystal Track XML format, each ingredient in each well will be exported as ‘Items’ in the XML file. Unique ingredients used in the screen conditions are also stored in the XML file as ‘Chemicals’. This eliminates the need to add ingredients whenever you import the file into a version of Crystal Track that does not include all of the ingredients used in the screen.
